On April 8th from 10:00am-3:00pm at the Oak Hollow Mall, the Sigma Nu Fraternity at High Point University will host its 2nd annual Car Festival philanthropy event!
In the festival’s first year, we raised over $5,000 for TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors). This year, all of the event’s proceeds will go towards the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, an association that specializes in clinical trials to find cures and treatments for breast cancer. Breast cancer is a disease that will affect an astounding 1 in 8 women in their lifetime. Each year, it is estimated that over 246,660 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer and more than 40,000 will pass away. Unfortunately, we had a brother’s mother pass away this past year due to breast cancer, which is why we chose the UNC Lineberger University Cancer Research Fund as our charity organization.
Sigma Nu believes that with the help of everyone, we can put an end to this fatal disease.
The Festival welcomes all cars and other vehicles from all over the country! Exotic, classic, trucks, custom, everything is welcome! There will be judging by classes with trophies and other prizes.
In addition to the cars we will have other attractions such as Food Trucks, dunk tanks, local businesses and much much more
To register a car or to become part of the Festival please contact Jack Boyd (firstname.lastname@example.org) and he will forward you all the necessary forms.
